Jan Levie will be giving a short speech about “What You Don’t Say—Understanding How Non-Verbal Communications Can Help You Succeed in Business”, and give some tips on how to practice simple skills that will help you better connect with colleagues, clients, prospects, and in social settings.
A little bit about Jan:
Jan Levie is the CEO and Creative Director of Handy Entertainment, which creates customized interactive entertainment for social, corporate and promotional events. Clients include Cirque du Soleil, Emory University School of Medicine, Atlanta Botanical Garden, Macy’s, and more.
Jan earned her B.A. from Indiana University in Theater and Journalism. She has worked professionally in stage, film, television, voice over, industrials, as a print journalist, and translator; with corporate, legal, educational institutions, and government entities, both in the U.S. and internationally. An educator at heart, Jan has taught French, German, English, Hebrew, Literacy, and Theater to students of all ages and nationalities.
Jan Levie serves on the ILEA Marcom/Brand Awareness Committee and the NACE’s Business Development Committee. She was nominated for the 2017 Business Woman of the Year by the Atlanta Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. In addition to the FACC, she is a member of the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau, Wedding Industry Professionals Association, and the Georgia Production Partnership. Jan speaks to professional, civic, and special interest groups on a variety of topics ranging from events and the entertainment industry, non-verbal communications, building your non-profit’s membership and reach, practical tools for engagement at your event, to Networking for the Socially Challenged. She is a regular guest lecturer at Georgia State University's School of Hospitality.
Jan lives with her husband and family in Atlanta, and spends her free time in traffic.
